Research Shows
Talking openly about suicide makes it much more likely someone will seek help — and does not increase the likelihood they will attempt.
What Are Just One Events
Breaking
The Silence.
Since 2017, we’ve been hosting collaborative, community-wide suicide prevention events aimed at breaking the silence and fostering hope.
Our Just One events feature powerful speakers and dynamic performances by a musician, creating an engaging and supportive atmosphere. These events are designed to connect attendees with local mental health resources — offering both inspiration and practical support to those in need.
Together, we can build a community where every person knows they matter and where help is just one conversation away.

What To Expect
One Night.
Real Impact.
Every Just One event is built around three things: powerful truth, live music, and real community connection. No fluff. No shame. Just honest conversations that change lives.
Powerful
Speakers
Raw, honest voices that share their own journeys with mental health, depression, and survival — breaking the stigma one story at a time.
Live Hip-Hop Performance
Dynamic musical performances that meet people where they are — creating an atmosphere of energy, empathy, and connection that opens hearts.
Local MH
Resources
Door prizes, local mental health resource tables, and community connections — because hope without a next step isn’t enough. We make the path forward clear.
